La Chitarra, 1934-1942, Bologna
"La Chitarra - rivista mensile letteraria e musicale" è il primo periodico mensile anteguerra dedicato alla chitarra; esso fu fondato da Riccardo Vaccari (1897-1941) al Primo Congresso chitarristico tenutosi il 23 maggio 1933 alla sede Dopolavoro Provinciale di Modena. A partire dal 1934 la rivista fu pubblicata dalla casa editrice musicale omonima con sede a Bologna. Storicamente è il primo periodico italiano esclusivamente chitarristico, che avrebbe trattato dell'attività mondiale intorno alla sola chitarra non concedendo nessuno spazio al mandolino o agli strumenti a plettro in genere. La sua periodicità fu mensile fino al 1941: 11 numeri l'anno, di cui uno doppio a luglio-agosto; infine uscirono 6 numeri doppi nel 1942. In totale furono pubblicati 94 fascicoli, di cui 91 con musiche allegate. Il formato della pagina era 17 x 24 cm. Il numero pagine era variabile da 8 a 20, con numerazione basata su numero fino al 1935, o progressiva per anno, dal 1936. L' allegato musicale presente in ogni numero, aveva dimensioni 24 x 36 cm, ed era staccato dal resto della rivista, inserito piegato in due. Colliozono i numeri e tutte le numerose musiche in originale.
