The history of Casa Monzino begins in the second half of the XVIII century.
The progenitor Antonio Monzino I, who died in 1800, was a brilliant manufacturer of musical instruments and harmonic strings, and also an importer and dealer of all types of musical material, as well as a publisher.
Antonio Giacomo Monzino IV (1847-1929) introduced modern operating machines for woodworking and the manufacture of banded harmonic strings.
He continued in the tradition of violin making with the best Italian artists of the time, such as the brothers Antoniazzi, Romeo, Riccardo and Erminio Farina, Severino Riva, Ambrogio Sironi and Luigi Galimberti who will train many young people under their guidance.
